"It's not the money alone"
Scientific impulses for the reform of BAföG
Together with Prof. Sandra Buchholz, Dr. Frauke Peter und Dr. Christoph Gwosć I published a research overview of reasons for social inequality in study participation and aiming to provide important scientific stimuli for the upcoming BAföG reform. We argue that it is not only financial aspects that cause young adults from socially weaker parental backgrounds to study less frequently. A lack of information about studying and the complexity of the application process for financial support also pose challenges.
